Karla Myn Khine is a Filipina-Burmese writer and poet from South Texas currently residing in Oakland. She is a graduate from San Francisco State's MFA program, where she was a recipient of an Academy of American Poets University Award, the Daniel Langton Poetry Prize, and a Marcus Graduate Scholar. Her work has appeared in Poetry Online, Driftwood Press, The Pinch, Poets.org, Sho Poetry Journal, and ANMLY. Her poetry chapbook Quasi-Metalloid was recently published by Diagram/New Michigan Press in Spring 2026.
She currently teaches first-year writing courses at various community colleges around the San Francisco Bay Area.
