hi! i am a filipino-burmese poet and writer from harlingen, texas. i have a bachelor’s in biochemistry from the University of Houston and a master’s of fine arts in creative writing from San Francisco State University. i currently reside in Oakland.

while in my graduate program i received numerous literary merit awards—Academy of American Poets award, Daniel Langton Poetry Prize, Kathryn A. Manoogian scholarship, and a Marcus Graduate scholarship.

my work is forthcoming or has appeared in Poets.org, Driftwood Press, The Pinch, ANMLY, Sho Poetry Journal, and Radar.
